Central Maine Credit Union

Police are looking for a man they say robbed a credit union in Winslow Thursday morning.It happened just before 10a.m. at the Winslow Community Federal Credit Union on Monument Street. Winslow’s police chief tells TV 5 a white male entered the building through a side door, handed the teller a knitted bag and demanded cash. We’re told the teller gave the man the money in her drawer and the suspect left through the side door. He was in and out of the credit union in less than a minute. Police are looking for a white male in his mid-20’s, 5’6”, 140 pounds with brown hair. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with dark horizontal stripes, light blue jeans, sunglasses and a baseball cap.One witness reported seeing a man matching that description getting into a ’93-or ’94 teal green Pontiac Grand Prix.If you have any information you’re urged to call Winslow police at 872-5215.
